ESC-US offers its annual National Convening to bring together Affiliate leaders and consultants, as well as ESC nonprofit clients to hear compelling presentations from expert thought leaders on a variety of topics.
This year’s Convening is titled, The Nonprofit Flywheel: Finding the Leverage Points That Build Momentum
Nonprofits are asked to solve increasingly complex problems, but lasting impact requires more than passion, programs or hard work. In this virtual keynote, Suzanne Smith introduces the research-backed framework from her new book, The Nonprofit Flywheel: A Playbook for Sustainable Growth, Smarter Strategy and Lasting Impact. Drawing on 16 years of testing the framework with hundreds of nonprofits, she will show how six interconnected drivers — impact, brand, revenue, operations, culture and governance — work together to build organizational momentum.
Executive Service Corps members bring a rare combination of leadership experience, pattern recognition and problem-solving skill to the sector. This session will give provide a sharper lens for applying that experience in a nonprofit context — helping to see the whole organization, distinguish symptoms from root causes and identify the leverage points most likely to move the organization forward.
