With an over twenty year passion for nonprofits and the work they do, Wilson seemed a natural fit
for the reimagined ESCCO. In its twenty–five year history ESCCO had been a go–to resource for
local nonprofits in need of professional level guidance, but over time the organization had a stagnant
feel. Wilson was hired to help the organization appeal to a new generation of volunteer executives
with skill–sets that are relevant to the needs of today’s nonprofits. And she’s been tasked with setting
ESCCO on the path of continued success for the next twenty–five years.
Wilson holds a B.S. in Sociology from Southern Nazarene University and an M.A. in Nonprofit
Leadership from Oklahoma City University. In her roles prior to joining ESCCO, she started a
nonprofit consulting business, worked as a marketing and community outreach leader for a hospital
system in Oklahoma, and served as the Board President for the Oklahoma City Orchestra League, as
well as an ESCCO volunteer consultant. Paul Moore, Retired CEO of ESCCO, said “Wendi Wilson
has been an outstanding ESCCO volunteer consultant, and more recently, a great addition to the staff.
As ESCCO’s new Executive Director, the organization will benefit from her experience and
connections to the nonprofit community”
