Fort Lauderdale, FL: the Executive Service Corps of Florida (ESCF) announced today that Joel Greenbaum has been hired as their new President & CEO. Mr. Greenbaum replaces Melanie Hillenbrand, who has retired and joined the board of directors.
Mr. Greenbaum has lived in South Florida for the past 20 years, where he has worked in both the public sector, serving as Executive Director of Leadership Broward Foundation, and in the private sector, as
President of Match Point Tennis. He also serves on the board of directors for the nonprofit, Special Compass. With deep roots in the area’s nonprofit and business communities, Mr. Greenbaum will be bringing his experience as an experienced nonprofit executive and social entrepreneur to help expand its capacity–building efforts with area nonprofits organizations.
Additionally, Mr. Greenbaum’s experiences that will benefit the Executive Service Corps of Florida moving forward include:
• His long–standing involvement with area nonprofits and knowledge of the vital services they provide to the community.
• A commitment to using technology and innovative systems to maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of local nonprofits.
• An understanding of the challenges nonprofits face in developing adequate resources to accomplish their missions.
“Having run both private and public sector organizations throughout my career, ESC of Florida is the perfect opportunity for me to marry the two,” says Joel Greenbaum. “This is a great organization with C–level volunteers, and I’m looking forward to unleashing all this talent and expertise we have to the benefit of our local nonprofits.”
“Joel brings integrity, business savvy, and boundless energy to the ESC… we have acquired the right talent to ensure our continued growth,” says Patricia Du Mont, President of Manadu Corporation and ESC Florida’s Board Chair. “We are so pleased to have his leadership experience, both for our organization and for the nonprofits we serve.”
